Bake-Off winner takes home Cuisinart stand mixer as grand prize at Dairy Fest
This year’s winner of the Walthall General Hospital/Forrest Home Health Cake Bake-Off at the 2026 Dairy Festival takes home a grand prize of a Kitchen Aid mixer. The stand mixer will occupy a prized spot in any baker’s kitchen.
To enter the Bake Off, entries must be at the Walthall General Hospital booth by 10 a.m. Judging will take place at 11 a.m.
Entries are for a plain pound cake, no icing, no drizzle and no nuts.
Entries must contain at least two dairy products (eggs are not dairy) and must be homemade. Entries must be submitted on a disposable plate or cardboard and be wrapped in plastic. Cake ingredients must be attached to the entry. Do not submit anything that needs refrigeration. Fruit and fruit flavoring can be baked in the cake but no fresh fruit on the cake.
Entrants accept that their entry is a donation to the Festival and will not be returned. Entries will be auctioned following the competition with proceeds going to the Dairy Festival.
Judges will assess each entry on taste, appearance and originality. The entrant’s name and phone number must be listed with the entry. All rules must be followed in order for the entry to qualify for judging.
