Mrs. Ada Lee Roberts Foxworth, 92, of Tylertown, died April 29, 2026, at her residence. She was born March 10, 1934, in Walthall County.
From an early age, Ada was a devoted and faithful Christian. She was a member of China Grove COGIC in Tylertown, where she served as Mother of the Church. Ada was also a member of the Progressive Art and Literary Club.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends; she also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and studying the Word of God.
Ada dedicated her life to caring for others through her nursing career. She worked 20 years at Howard Memorial Hospital in Biloxi and 25 years at the VA Hospital in Gulfport, retiring in 1996 after 45 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her sons, James Earl and Reed Jr.; son-in-law, Billy Stewart, Sr.
Survivors include her daughters, Lelia Culberson Stewart, and Renea Foxworth Childs (Kenneth D. Childs, Sr.); grandchildren, Tiffany L. Foxworth, Roy E. Culberson II, Mercedes L. Ambrose, Kenneth D. Childs II, Kurtson J. Childs, Trasheena Stewart, Billy R. Stewart Jr., Darrian J. Stewart, Dominick J. Stewart; 17 great-grandchildren; godson, Donald Cowart; goddaughter, Chrissy Robey.
Funeral services were May 9, 2026, at China Grove COGIC in Tylertown with burial to follow in Cisiero Roberts Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Lester Pittman officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to Craft-Dillon-Ginn Funeral Chapel.
