Weldon Bullock, 98, of Tylertown, died May 31, 2026. He was born on May 21, 1928, the son of Byzie Bullock and Ina Fortenberry Bullock. He was the only boy out of five siblings.
Early in life, Weldon joined Brandon Bay U.M. Church and also attended school there. When he became a grown man, he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. After retiring, he decided to move back home, where he returned to Brandon Bay U.M. Church and served as an usher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Dorothy Lee Bullock, Margaree (Rubin) Green, Carol Joyce (Will) Owens, Halloween (Willie) Richardson, and one son, James (Shirley) Bullock.
Survivors include his foster brother, Melvin Bullock, Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Linda (Paul) Howcutt, Brownsburg, IN; nephew and niece, Dennis Conely and Karen Hewitt, both of Tylertown; three grandchildren, Patrick Bullock, Michelle (Douglas) Hall, and Sharepha (Tarrain) Bennett, all of Pike County; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were June 6, 2026, at Brandon Bay United Methodist Church, Tylertown. Burial was in Bullock Family Cemetery in Tylertown. Pallbearers were Steve Magee, Mitchell Magee, Lattimore Williams, R.J. Anders, Pastor Antonio Magee, and Pastor Gilbert Bullock. Honorary pallbearers were Dennis Conerly, Paul Howcutt, Melvin Bullock, Andy Magee, Patrick Bullock, and Anthony Bullock.
