Joyce Pounds, 86, of Kokomo, died June 2, 2024, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg. She worked for various businesses including Wal-Mart where she was employed 23 years until her retirement. Joyce enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables, and red birds and was a faithful member of Kokomo Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, James K. Terrell; her mother, Annette McCain Lott; and brother, Reuben Lott, Jr. Survivors are her husband, Raner Pounds of Kokomo; her daughter, Sandra Pinkett (David) of Laurel, MD; and five grandchildren, Shaun Gooleby, Shelby Pinkett, Natalie Pinkett, Kayleigh Pinkett, and Ben Pinkett.
Funeral services were June 7, 2024, at Kokomo Baptist Church officiated by Revs. Glenn Nace and Kevin Shows, interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia was in charge of the arrangements.
