Walton W. Forbes, 81, of Tylertown, died July 1, 2024, at Southwest Medical Center in McComb. He was born Dec. 22, 1942, in Lexie, the last of seven children of John Reece and Lillie Mae Dillon Forbes.
Funeral services were July 6, 2024, at Magee’s Creek Baptist Church, Jayess, burial in the Elliott Cemetery, Bro. Buddy Day officiating.
Forbes was a member of Magee’s Creek Baptist Church and served a full term with the US Army National Guard. He loved telling stories about his experiences in life, working on his farm, and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Jo Evelyn Sauls Forbes; father, John Reece Forbes; and mother, Lillie Mae Dillon Forbes.
Survivors include his son, Walton Brit Forbes (Angelee Elizabeth); grandchildren, Samuel Wade Forbes, Dillon Joseph Forbes, Alyssa Kathryn Williams, Gabriel Wayne Williams, Hannah Nichole Williams, Wyatt Charles Williams, and Maddoux Drew Williams; companion of 15 years Elizabeth Bryant.
Pallbearers were Samual Forbes, Dillon Forbes, Gabriel Williams, Timmy Forbes, Tony Forbes and Greg Forbes.
Honorary pallbearers were Maddoux Williams and Wyatt Williams.
