On Aug. 3, 2024, Chuck Magee, 58, died at his home in Summit. Funeral services were Aug. 7, 2024, at Tangipahoa Baptist Church in Summit, Bro. Mike Morris officiating, burial at the cemetery on site.
In recent years, Magee worked from home. He was a weightlifting enthusiast. Going to the gym was non negotiable for him for decades. He earned first place in the Junior Heavy Weight Tri-State Classic and was a mentor in the gym to many, including his own children, over the years.
He was born in Tylertown, Feb. 10, 1966, to Charles Magee, Sr. and Cora Ann Terrell Magee.
Survivors are his wife of 25 years, Lindey Hughes Magee; their children, Heather Coker (Tyler), Bennett Magee (Lysandra Fegan), and Pailyn Magee; his father, Charles Magee, Sr.; a sister, Carla Bracey (Derek); brothers, Mark Magee, Cliff Magee (Amber), and Clay Magee (Mandy); and his two cherished grandchildren, Elsie and Easton Coker.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cora Ann Terrell Magee, and his brother-in-law, Matthew Hughes.
Pallbearers were Alan Bridevaux, Michael Dier, Dale Hughes, Will Lampton, Clay Magee, and Cliff Magee.
