Ada Mae Magee, 73, of Tylertown, died Nov. 20, 2024, in Slidell after a brief illness. She was born May 19, 1951, in Tylertown to the late Shellie and Annie Govan.
She atteneded J.J. Gulledge Memorial High School She was a member of Magee’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She worked as a personal care assistant and Navistar.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ivey Lenoir; one sister, Athel Mae Patton; one daughter-in-law, Tishanna Magee.
Survivors are her husband of 56 years, James E. Magee; daughters, Chyketia (Alfred) Walker of Tylertown, Audrey Jenkins of Bude, Melody Martin (James) of Tylertown; sons, Jerry Magee (Latoya), James S. Magee, and Eric Magee (Shacorie), all of Milwaukee, WI; 19 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; four sisters, Idella Holmes, Arther Rean Carter, Annie M. Govan, Rosa Lean Thompson; one brother, Shellie Lee Govan Jr.; special friend, Angela Wells.
Funeral services were Nov. 30, 2024, at Magee’s Creek MB Church, pastor George Coney officiating with interment in the Tylertown Cemetery.
