Gwendora McDowell, 69, of McComb, died Feb. 3, 2025 at her residence.
Funeral services were Feb. 8, 2025, at Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Timothy Hughes officiating, interment at Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Gwendora McDowell was born on March 9, 1956, in Tylertown to the late James Dewitt and Ethel Bullock Lenard. She was employed at Southwest Community College as a canteen assistant for many years. She was a member of the Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Gregory McDowell, two sisters, Brenda Joyce Lenard and Lucille Martin, and a niece Teresia Lenard.
Survivors are her husband, Albert E. McDowell; three sons, Albert L. McDowell (Shaunta McDowell), Jerome McDowell, and Jermy McDowell, all of McComb; three brothers, James (Barbara) Lenard, Tylertown, Lewis (Barbara) Lenard, Magnolia, Denman (Brenda) Lenard, McComb; five sisters, Lorriane (Harry Patterson) Milwaukee, WI, Beverly (Freddie) Alexander, Detroit, Michigan, Neldia (Nolan) Ball, Mable Lenard both of Tylertown, and Vivian (Norbert Williams) Birmingham, AL.
Peoples Undertaking Company in McComb was in charge of the arrangements.
