Annie Faye Rushing, 87, of Tylertown, died May 26, 2025, at her residence. She was born Jan. 30, 1938, in Lawrence County.
Funeral services were May 29, 2025, at Capps Funeral Home with Bro. Tyler Bridge officiating, interment at Tylertown II Cemetery.
Mrs. Rushing was a member of the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church and also worked at Haspels for many years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidering, tending to her flowers, cooking, and being a homemaker an. She was a fanatic about watching birds and caring for them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Nolan Rushing; father, James Chesterfield Davis; mother, Lura Ann Beeson Davis; grandchild, Maya Rushing; brothers, James Manon Davis, Johnny Gerald Davis and Jay Davis; sisters, Fannie Mae Chesser, Lavon Sills, Margie White and Audelle Davis; and daughter-in-law, Mavis Rushing.
Survivors include her sons, Toney Rushing (Tanya) and Jeff Rushing; daughter, Tammy Thomas (John); grandchildren, Kristi Johnson (Ken), Tristan Rushing, Aaron Rushing, Salina Burnthorn, Brody Burnthorn (Victoria), Brooke DiGiovanni (Brian), Lane Burnthorn (Candi), Kelly Coker (Paul), Brandi Rushing, Hanna Bailey (Ross), and Matthew Rushing; great grandchildren, Peyton Johnson, Levi Johnson, Madison Burnthorn, Jacob Burnthorn, Charlie Burnthorn, Olivia Burnthorn, Carter Sartin, Parker Coker, Bentlee Coker, Saylor Coker, and Brooks Bailey; great great grandchild Selah DiGiovanni; sister, Elaine Cude; nephew, Keith Davis (LeAnne).
