Terry Allen McCain, 57 of Sandy Hook, died Jan. 5, 2026, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg. He was born Dec. 26, 1968, in Tylertown, to the late J. Q. McCain and Carolyn Ann Adams McCain.
Visitation was at Carson Springs Baptist Church Jan. 8, 2026, with burial in the Carson Springs Cemetery. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
For three decades, Mr. McCain was affiliated with Walmart, and for the last seven years, he owned and operated McCain Meat Processing, commonly referred to as the Meat House. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, cooking, and attending auctions. Yet, his greatest fulfillment stemmed from his family and the moments shared with his granddaughters.
Survivors include his wife, Sherri Thornton; daughters, Bailey Keaster (Adam) and Bethany McCain; granddaughters, Ellie Keaster, Palmer Keaster, and Scottie Jane Keaster; brothers, Michael McCain (Melissa) and Mark McCain (Stephanie).
