Jerrilene Brown Peters, 88, of Tylertown, died May 27, 2026, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. She was born April 14, 1938, in Tylertown, to John Henry Brown and Mae Ella Mark Brown.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Dexter Mt. Olive M.B. Church. Jerrilene married Levell Peters on June 21, 1957, and to this union was born a daughter, Mae Evelyn Peters Mark of Foxworth, MS. Later, Jerrilene was blessed with three additional children, Len Dora Pittman of Tylertown, Christopher M. Peters (Jennifer) of Petal, MS, and Yvonne Peters Dillon (Carlos Garner) of Summit, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Levell Peters; and her brother, Henry Pete Brown (Willene Brown).
Survivors include her children; one sister, Henrietta Brown Lee of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Johnthan Mark (La’shelia) of Sandy Hook, MS, Gregory Mark, Tonya Pittman of Tylertown, MS, Kynoa L. Trotter of McComb, Allison Pittman of Tylertown, Nakia L. Trotter Jr. of Tylertown, Janiza Peters Franks (LaMarcus) of Hattiesburg, La’Daisha Peters of Petal, and Keeley E. Dillon of Summit; 10 great-grandchildren, O’Shea Mark, Ja’Shala Mark, Ja’Moz Mark, Ja’Mori Mark, Kay’Cee Martin, Adrianna Johnson, Alisyn Brister, Braxton Trotter, Braylen Trotter, and Omari Trotter; two great-great-grandchildren, Ja’Mori Jr. and Dreamy
