Carolyn Louise Johnson Reagan, 91, of Tylertown, died on June 17, 2026. She was born Nov. 3, 1934, to the late Jeff Johnson and Tillie Graham Johnson. Along with her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, John Ray Reagan; son, John Mark Reagan; daughter-in-law, Joy Lynn Reagan; and brother, Donald Johnson.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Suzanne Rutan (Donald); grandson, Jon Eric Rutan (Lauren Vasquez Rutan); great-grandchildren, Lena Rutan and Mateo Rutan.
Mrs. Carolyn was a proud graduate of Lexie High School, where she was a talented basketball player and earned a scholarship for her athletic abilities. She served as Election Commissioner for many years for the 3rd District of Walthall County. Carolyn was an avid reader, a dedicated sender of cards, and a wonderful cook. Her faith was central to her life, and she loved studying her Bible, listening to gospel programming and Jimmy Swaggart music, attending the Martha Morris Sunday School class, and spending time with church family. She deeply cherished her grandson Eric and great-grandchildren, was a devoted New Orleans Saints fan, and adored her beloved cat, Zak.
Visitation was at Crystal Springs Baptist Church, Tylertown, June 23, 2026, with burial in the Crystal Springs Cemetery. Bro. Danny Stevens officiated the service. Hartman Hughes Capps Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
