Michael Allen Freeman, 58, of Sandy Hook, died at his river camp on the Pearl River on June 6, 2026. He was born Oct. 10, 1967, to Hubert and Elise Seal Freeman. Along with his parents he is also survived by his devoted wife, Angela Strain Freeman; stepson, Ryan Strain (Brandy); brother, Ryan Freeman; sister, Michelle Gordy.
He is preceded in death by his sons, Eric Freeman and Bruce Fornea; paternal grandparents, Clarence Freeman and Corine Freeman; and maternal grandparents, Hobson Seal and Nola Seal.
Mr. Mike was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with his family, friends, and four canine babies.
A graveside service was June 13, 2026, at Carson Springs Cemetery, Sandy Hook. Bro. Ryan Freeman officiated. Pallbearers were Drew Seal, Jonathan “Hootsie” Fornea, Phillip Jarrell, Jason Ard, Chris Thomas, and JD Henderson. Honorary Pallbearers were Amanda Cothern, Tatum Hunt, Logan Futrell, Zachary Easterling, and Tucker Futrell.
Hartman Hughes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
