Linda Virginia Martin, 73, of Meridian, died Sept. 5, 2020, at Bedford Nursing Home in Marion. A graveside funeral service was at Boyd Cemetery in Tylertown Sept. 8, 2020, with Rev. Hubert Greer officiating.
Ms. Martin was born Dec. 12, 1946, to the late Nolan and Ida Mae Martin (Hawkins) in Tylertown. She attended Salem High School. She played the piano, autoharp, and accordion, and was a lifelong fan of Donny Osmond. At Bedford Nursing Home she was a bingo champion and never missed a social event. Ms. Martin was a member of Highland Baptist Church and was active in the Faith Sunday School class.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Willie Greer, MD, of Meridian; her nephew Willie Greer, Jr. of Raymond; her nieces Andrea Gramm (David) of Washington, Ill., Rachael Greer (William Malchow) of Brooklyn, NY, and Christy Turner (Scott) of Meridian.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carole Greer.
