Billy Ray Stewart, Sr., 59, of Tylertown, died Dec. 22, 2020, at Forrest General Hospital.
A private family graveside service was Dec. 26, 2020, Rev. L. V. Holloway officiating.
Stewart was born Sept. 18, 1961, to Daisy Stewart and the late Will Frazier Stewart in Tylertown. A few years later, Daisy met and married Charles Green to whom reared Billy as his own son. Billy graduated from Tylertown High School in 1981. He was the owner of Stewart’s Tax Service from 1992 to present. He was an entrepreneur of multiple businesses including several real estates.
He was preceded in death by his father, Will Frazier Stewart; his sister, Ceanofie Ann Brumfield; his maternal grandparents, Oak and Laverta Lenoir and his paternal grandparent, Alma Stewart.
Survivors are his wife of 23 years, Lelia M. Culberson Stewart; two daughters, Trasheena Stewart of Tylertown, and Mercedes (David) Ambrose of Houston, TX; four sons, Billy R. (Demetrius) Stewart, Jr. and Darrian D. Stewart both of Tylertown, Dominick J. Stewart of McComb, Roy E. (Cavandrea) Culberson II of Nashville, TN; bonus son, Antonnio K. Dillon of Opelika, AL; two sisters, Paulette Fagan of Tylertown, and Zena Urby of New Orleans; 15 grandchildren; one god-daughter, Joy Shelton of Galveston, TX; special cousin, Mardessie Holmes of Flint, MI; special niece, Tiffany Foxworth-Roberts of Baton Rouge, LA; special friend, Carla Jones of McComb.
Craft-Ginn Funeral Chapel was in charge of the arrangments.
