Funeral services for Margaret Aileen Vince, 80, of Sandy Hook, were Jan. 14, 2021, at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with James Ochenrider and Paul Neal officiating, burial in the Vince Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Vince died Jan. 10, 2021. She was born Feb. 2, 1940, in Brookhaven to the late Leanee and David Britt. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her siblings; grandchildren Danon Stogner and Layla Ann Vince.
She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and attended the Columbia ward since 1985. As a faithful member she served in numerous callings including serving as primary president for many years. She was a great cook and seamstress. In her earlier year’s hobbies included softball and horse riding. Later in life she was involved in genealogical work and served as a temple patron.
Survivors include husband of 61 years Jay Vince; children Zelda (Butch) Davis, Tracy (JoAnn) Vince, Pamela (Toby) Tolbert, and Danny Vince; grandchildren Cody Stogner, John Tyler (Caley) Stogner, Brandi Stogner, Jeremy Forbes, Cole (Brandi) Forbes, Mason Vince, Trevor Vince, Tara (Danny) Daugherty, Trey (Emily) Tolbert, Kassidy Tolbert, Jaydan Vince, and Jayce Vince; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Junanita (Buddy) Delaughter.
Pallbearers were Cody Stogner, John Tyler Stogner, Cole Forbes, Mason Vince, Trevor Vince, and Trey Tolbert.
Honorary pallbearers were Jayce Vince and Jaydan Vince.
