Edith Gutter, 76, of Tylertown, died April 28, 2021, at Forrest General Hospital. She was born in Walthall County Nov. 24, 1944, to Carroll and Annie Mae Quinn.
A funeral service was May 8, 2021, at West Sunny Hill MBC, interment in the church cemetery.
She was married to R. D. Gutter on July 12, 1971. Together they raised three daughters. She has always been involved in church, even up until her passing. At an early age she joined E. Sunnyhill MB Church and served as financial secretary, Sunday School teacher and choir member. Later in life she moved her membership to West Sunnyhill MB Church where she continued her dedication to serve. She served as the Sunday School teacher, assistant financial secretary and choir president until her eyesight began to fail. She was a member of the West Pearl River Sunday School Convention Mass Choir.
Survivors are her husband, R. D. Gutter; two daughters, Rose Mary (Anthony) Jordan, Hattiesburg and Taminika Gutter, Tylertown; four grandchildren, Deareus Gutter, Robert Gutter, Mariono Smith and Demari Smith; three sisters Annie Tillery, Chicago, Il, Clara Williams, Jayess and Ethel Quinn, Valllejo, CA; brother-in-law, Joe Gutter; two sisters-in-law Audrey Jefferson and Clarsie Gutter; eight great-grandchildren.
