Patricia Louise “Trish” Willis died Sept. 29, 2021, at Merit Health Madison, in Canton. She succumbed to Covid after a two-month illness.
Trish was born in New Orleans Aug. 15, 1950. She grew up in Tylertown where she graduated from Tylertown High School and later from the University of Southern Mississippi. As a young adult Ms. Willis worked for a few years in her parents’ hardware store where she had a gift shop called Tricia’s Cupboard. Later she moved to Jackson where she worked for many years at the architect firm of Canizaro, Cawthon, Davis and was still working there up until the time of her death.
Growing up she was a member of Tylertown United Methodist Church and later joined Canton Christian Center. Trish and her friend, Cindy Harper, traveled to South Africa, Kenya, and India with the Carrier of His Light Ministries where she was a vital part of the ministry team.
Survivors are her three siblings: Suzanne Miyabe (Jim), Albert Willis (Becky), and Jo Anne McDaniel-Rawls (Artie). Her parents, Charles and Dorothy Willis, preceded her in death.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in her memory to either Canton Christian Center (designated to Missions) or Tylertown United Methodist Church.

Tylertown United Methodist Church- Sunday Oct. 17, 2021, 2:00 pm Tylertown.
The services in Tylertown will be a joint service for Trish, and for her mother, Dorothy Willis, who passed away last summer during Covid restrictions. There will be a burial for both immediately following the service at Tylertown Cemetery.
