Thaddeus Lee Dawson, 52, of Hattiesburg, died Jan. 30, 2022, at his residence.
Born Nov. 23, 1969, in McComb, he was the son of the late Alfred Dawson and Mattie Robinson Dawson. At a young age he joined Sherman MB Church. He was member of the church choir.
He attended Fernwood Elementary School and later moved to Hattiesburg and continued his education at Sernity Springs Adult Day Center. He resided at Silverleaf Supervised Living until his death.
He enjoyed watching television, eating and dancing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys D. Dawson, Barbara A. Bowman, Doris A. Huey; two brothers-in-law, Joseph M. Bowman, Earnest Huey; one nephew, J.J. Bowman.
Survivors include one sister, Jacqueline M. Dawson (Walter) Harness, of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Eld. Albert Eugene (Sherry) Dawson, of Summit, James Patrick (Meaka) Dawson, of Bay Springs, Eld. Clifford Manuel (Prencess) Dawson, of Tylertown.
A graveside service was Feb. 5, 2022, at Sherman MBC Cemetery, Magnolia, with Eld. Clifford Dawson and Eld. Albert Dawson delivering the eulogy and officiating, interment in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Albert E. Dawson, James P. Dawson, Clifford M. Dawson, Justen Dawson, Brandon L. Harness and Walter J. Harness.
Honorary pallbearers were Albert E. Dawson, James P. Dawson, Clifford M. Dawson and Walter L. Harness.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
