Waldo Alford, 58, of Osyka, died Aug. 8, 2022, at McComb Nursing and Rehab Center in McComb. Born Sept. 15, 1963, he was the son of the late Angelo Alford and Dessiree Coon Alford.
He worked as a logger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert Earl Alford, Percy Alford George Alford, Eddie Alford and Ellis Alford; one sister, Viola Bishop; one sister-in-law, Irma Alford and his partner, Florence Magee.
Survivors are his son, Chadwick Carter; daughter, Sanite Magee; two grandchildren, Ja’kobe and Chadwick Carter; stepchildren, Ruby Magee, Sherien James of Magnolia and Katrina (James) Chaney of Greensburg, LA; one sister, Arnetha Anderson of Lancoster, CA; one brother, Dillard Alford of Magnolia; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Alford of Osyka.
A funeral service was Aug. 15, 2022, at Unity Missionary Baptist Church, McComb, with Rev. James Simmons officiating and rendering the eulogy.
Pallbearers were Mark Carter, Jimmy Lee Hurst, LA’Desomon Tate, Ivory James and LA’Derek Magee.
Honorary pallbearers were Dillard Alford, Eddie Alford, Rollo Gardner, Justin Alford and Dillard Alford Jr.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
