RJ Ratliff, 82, of Tylertown, died Nov. 17, 2022, at Forrest General Hospital. He was born Feb. 11, 1940, to the late Henry Ratliff and Sulfie Newsom Ratliff in Marion County.
He worked numerous jobs in Louisiana and later retired from Walthall County School District. He was a member at Dexter Mt. Olive MB Church serving as Sunday School superintendent, a deacon and member of male choir. He loved his family and farming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, a daughter, and his late wife, Catherine Ratliff.
Survivors are his wife of 22 years, Brenda M Ratliff of Tylertown; one son, Brad (Debra) Jefferson of Wallis, TX; 12 daughters, Rachel (Charlie) Robinson of Pearland, TX, Tammy (Edward Jr.) Mark of Tylertown, Ola Marie (Danny) Magee and Brenda (Donald) Jefferson, both of Bogalusa, Vickie Robinson, Donice (Vigil) Rayford and Glenda Ratliff, all of Angie, Beatrice (Charles) Brown of Foxworth, Linda Poullard of Covington, Nakiki (Dwight) Hudson of Petal, Subrana Magee and Shameia Magee, both of Tylertown; three brothers Talage (Lela) Ratliff of Angie, John (Mary) Ratliff of Canton, MI, and Waler Ratliff of Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters, Eddie Mae Ratliff and Geraldine Ratliff, both of Angie; sisters-in-law, Arnita Mark and Artressie (Charles) Quinn; brother-in-law, Arzrito (Tiffany) Mark, all of Tylertown; 33 grandchildren.
Funeral services were Nov. 25, 2022, at East Mt. Olive MB Church in Tylertown, interment in the church cemetery, Pastor Reginald Russell officiating.
