Julia Ann Rayford, 73, died March 20, 2023, at Forrest General Hospital. She was born Jan. 23, 1950, in Tylertown to the late Rufus Rayford and Leanea Hill.
She attended Spring Hill Church of God in Christ in Tylertown and was an usher and a mother of the church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Lonnie Daniel Rayford; grandparents; five brothers, Houston Raiford, Leo Raiford, Leon Raiford, Earl Hill Jr., Rufus Raiford Jr. and Sidney Ray Raiford; three sisters, Helen Raiford, Nelly Raiford and Shirley Raiford; a grandchild, Johnny Oneal Raiford; four great great grandchildren, LaDiamond Raiford, Brendriricle Raiford, Kingston Barnes and Christopher Mingo.
Survivors are one son, James (Merline) Raiford; four daughters, Brenda Nell Raiford, Jackie Denise Raiford, both of McComb, Betty Jean Raiford and Ann Maria Raiford, both of Gulfport; six brothers, James Rufus Raiford, Michael (Glenda) Hill and David Hill, both of Tylertown, Johnny Raiford of Texas, Robert Raiford and David Raiford both of New Orleans; six sisters, Mary Hill of McComb, Chalren Badon and Carlett (Patrick Magee) Hill, both of Hattiesburg, Carol Hill and Ida Mae Badon, both of Tylertown, and Ruth Ann Raiford of New Orleans.
Funeral services were March 25, 2023, at Spring Hill COGIC in Tylertown, Asst. Supt. Ronnie Magee officiating.
