KeChandre Dawn Gatlin, 42, died June 5, 2023, at Walthall General Hospital, Tylertown. She was born Sept. 22, 1980, to Dianne Magee and the late Marcus Magee in Walthall County. She was married to Rev. Tyrone Gatlin.
Funeral services were June 10, 2023, at the Tylertown High School Gymnasium, Rev. Tyrone Gatlin officiating, interment at Tylertown Cemetery.
She obatained an associate degree in social work at Southwest Community College, a bachelor’s of science in education from the University of Southern Mississippi, then on to William Carey where she obtained her master’s in education.
She was a member of Mesa Mt. Olive MB Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School and also the pastor aide committee. She was a 4th Grade elementary school teacher at Tylertown Elementary School and a Jr. Beta Sponsor.
She was preceded in death by her father, Marcus Magee.
Survivors are her husband of 17 years, Rev. Tyrone Gatlin, two daughters: Taniya and Laken Gatlin; son, Tyias Gatlin all of Tylertown; mother, Dianne Magee, Tylertown; brother, Brian Magee, Baton Rouge.
