Voters return to polls
Voters return to the polls for a third time this year, this time to select final choices among local candidates, while candidates for state office may find themselves in a runoff after Tuesday’s balloting, according to a new state law.
Countians will be returning to a paper ballot, coloring the oval next to their selection and feeding their ballot into a scanner before leaving the precinct.
Election workers say the process will be much less confusing than the touch screen electronic ballot used previously.
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Election Day at the county’s 20 precincts.
