Harlon Graves, 90, of Florence, died Feb. 19, 2024, in Florence. He was born Aug. 9, 1933, in Tylertown.
Funeral services were Feb. 24, 2024 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, burial in Rushing Cemetery, Bro. Calvin Crowe officiating.
Graves was a Korean War veteran and served in the Army’s 82nd Airborne. He was a carpenter who enjoyed building houses, working on small engines, and bird watching. He loved history.
He was preceded in death by his father Harlon Peter Graves and mother Nellie Gray Estess Graves.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years Winnie Holmes Graves; sons Joe Graves, Daniel Bowman Graves (Rhonda), Wayne Graves and Stephen Graves (Rachel); his daughter Rhonda Graves Dunaway; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were his grandsons Landon McLendon, Leighton McLendon, Ethan Graves, Ian Graves, Sam Dunaway and Brady McLendon.
