Gloria Pittman Tate, 68, of Franklinton, died April 3, 2024, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center, Covington. She was born July 13, 1955, in Tylertown to L.C. Pittman and Mamie Davis Pittman.
She was educated at Tylertown High School and worked at Windmill Nursery and Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She attended Second Mt. Bethel Baptist Church in Sandy Hook.
In 1973, she married Clarence Tate Jr. of Franklinton who preceded in death.
Survivors are her five children: Tyrone (Shekita) Tate, Emanuel Tate and Bianca Tate, all of Franklinton, Tamekia (Terry Sr.) Pittman and Catrina (Roger) Johnson of Columbia; grandchildren, Knoxx and Kohen Tate, Tamiya and Terry Pittman Jr., Tyron, Taviyun, Shaniya and Jordan Johnson, Deondre Damarri, rianna Tate; great grandchildren, Arlani Pittman and Mariah Graves; two sisters, Aletha (James) Gray of Atlanta and Joyce Magee of Columbia; one brother, Floyd Zell Pittman of Columbia.
Funeral services were April 13, 2024, at Craft-Dillon-Ginn Funeral Chapel in Tylertown, Rev. Jacob Tate, Jr. officiating with interment in the Moriah Cemetery, Franklinton.
