Cakes to be judged, auctioned at bake-off

Area bakers need to plan now to enter the Dairy Festival Cake Bake-off at the Saturday, June 1 event.
To enter, take your entry to the Walthall General Hospital booth by 9 a.m. Judging takes place at 11 a.m.
Entries are to be homemade with at least two dairy ingredients.
The entry must be on a disposable plate or cardboard and wrapped in plastic.
All entries are considered a donation to the festival and will not be returned. Entrants must accept that their cake is a donation.
The cakes will be auctioned following the competition with all proceeds going to the Walthall County Dairy Festival.
Do not submit an entry requiring refrigeration.
Judges assess each entry for taste, appearance, and originality.
The entrant’s name and phone number must be listed with the entry.
