Vernon Edward Terrell, 85, of Tylertown, died July 26, 2024, at Billdora Senior Care. He was born Nov. 11, 1938, in Tylertown.
Funeral services were July 28, 2024, at Capps Funeral Home, burial in the Mount Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, Randall Griffin officiating.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanell Simmons Terrell; daughter, Susan Terrell Seals; father, Berley Terrell; mother, Bertha Lee Nichols Terrell; brother-in-law, Dave Fetters; and K9 companion Tico.
Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Terrell (Sandra); daughters, Debbie Barton (John) and Connie Slawson (Bobby); sisters, Peggy Fetters and Bobbie Kalencki (Billy); six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; longtime companion Shirley Holmes.
Pallbearers were Mark Brock, Keith Brock, Charles Ray Polk, Justin Terrell, Austin Thomas and Joe Varnado.
Honorary pallbearer was Lynn Alford.
Hartman Hughes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
