Kelly C. May, 79, transitioned April 29, 2025 in Hattiesburg. He was born June 5, 1945, to the late L.C and Daisy McGowan May.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Collins May; one sister, Glenda Lee May; two brothers, Luther C. May and Clemie Ray May.
Survivors are two daughters, Karency Hilliard and Charlene May of Jayess; two sons, Edward (Heidi) May of Tylertown, and Gregory May of Jayess; seven sisters, Angie Rogers of Silver Creek, Vietta (C.L.) Brown of Brookhaven, Alberta May and Darlene May of Jayess, Marzella (Spencer) of Monticello; three brothers, Walter (Elizabeth) May of Tylertown, Tony May of Beaumont, TX, and Raymond May of Georgia; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great grandchild.
Funeral services were May 3, 2025, at Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Jayess, with Rev. Edward Herron officiating and rendering the eulogy, interment at Salem MB Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers and flower girls were nephews, cousins and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Spencer Walker, Rickie Hoskins, Walter May and Tony May.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
