Inez Sylvia Rushing Brown, 93, of Franklinton, died July 19, 2025, at Riverside Medical Center. She was born May 25, 1932 in Tylertown. She worked at Rutter Rex as an inspector and seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting. She crocheted many items and entered in the Washington Parish Fair and won many ribbons. She crocheted many blankets and other items for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She also sewed many clothing items for her grandchildren.
Survivor are her son and daughter in law: Joey Brown (Sheryl D.); grandchildren: Damon Brown, Rebecca Crain (Jimmy), Robin Crowe (Dustin) great grandchildren: Zach Brown (Meg), Seth Brown (Gracie), Harleigh B. and Laken Adams, Damon Brown, Jr., Kamon Brown, Dalton Crain, Baileigh Crain, Collin Crain, Celeste Crowe, Cade Crowe; great great grandchildren: Evelyn Elizabeth Brown, Roni Mahryn Adams, Autumn Tynes; special friends Clarence Mizell and Joey Kees from Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Winford Harold Brown, her parents Elbert and Thanie Talley Rushing, siblings Otis Rushing, Wilton Rushing, Hilton Rushing and Bonnie Jean Stovall.
Funeral services were July 20, 2025, at Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton with Bro. David Barber officiating, burial in the Rushing Cemetery in Tylertown.
Pallbearers were great grandsons Zach Brown, Seth Brown, Damon Brown, Jr., Dalton Crain, Collin Crain, Cade Crowe.
Honorary Pallbearers were Damon Brown, Dustin Crowe, Jimmy Crain.
Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton was in charge of the arrangements.
