Linda Joy Harvey, 88, of Tylertown, died July 18, 2025, at her residence. She was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Walthall County, to the late Wilburn Dunaway and Juanita Dunaway. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley O. Harvey, Sr.; son, Nelson Todd Harvey; brother, Jerry Dunaway; and sister, Nancy Louise Dunaway.
Funeral services were July 20, 2025, at Capps Funeral Home, burial in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Bro. David Watson and Rev. Buddy Day officiating.
Ms. Harvey was raised in McComb and after marriage moved back to Walthall County where she was very active in her community. She was well known as an advertising representative for The Tylertown Times and served as a board member for the Walthall County Country Club. Ms. Harvey was an avid golfer and seamstress. After her retirement she enjoyed card games with friends.
Survivors include her son, Wesley O. “Sput” Harvey, Jr. (Beverly); daughter, Linda Susan Bracey (Bob); grandchildren, Jennifer Turek (Troy), Lauren Cranford (Chad), Allen Bracey (Andrea), Wesley O. “Wes” Harvey, III, Christopher Bracey (Kaylan), Garrett May, and Chancey Cornell (Cody); great grandchildren, Logan Turek, Addison Turek, Kye Harvey, Grant Carter, Cooper Bracey, Macey Cranford, Benson Cranford, Brooks Bracey, Evelyn “Evie” Cornell and Autumn Bracey.
Pallbearers were Allen Bracey, Wes Harvey, Christopher Bracey, Garrett May, Cody Cornell and Troy Turek.
Honorary pallbearers were Kye Harvey, Grant Carter, Cooper Bracey and Brooks Bracey.
Special music was performed by Wanda Brock.
