Ronald Ira “Ronnie” Magee, 69, a resident of the Lawrence Creek community, died July 9, 2025, at his home. He was born in Tylertown on Oct. 6, 1955, to the late Wee and Rose Magee, and grew up on a farm.
Magee attended Pine High School where he played football for the Rebels. He operated a dairy farm for many years and had a long career on tugboats.
He loved deer and rabbit hunting and enjoyed watching his favorite old western TV shows and recently Yellowstone. He had a fun sense of humor, always laughing and cracking jokes with his family.
Survivors are his wife: Natalie Luper Magee of Franklinton; son: Ronald Joseph Magee; grandchildren: Kenley and Devon Yelnek, Ethan Magee, Devin Magee; brother: Darrell (Anita) Magee of Franklinton; sisters: Susan West of Syracuse, Utah, Vickie Magee of Franklinton; step-mother: Joyce Magee.
He was preceded in death by his parents John Ira “Wee” Magee and Rose Lee Spears Magee, brother Donald Ira “Donnie” Magee, brother in law Craig West, nephew Steven West and other family members.
Funeral services were July 12, 2025, at Crain Funeral Home with Eld. Richard Magee and Eld. Duane Ball officiating, burial in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek.
Pallbearers were Lavon Magee, Mike Magee, Lonnie Jones, Jimmy Jenkins, Jimmy Jenkins, Jr., Wayne Nobles, Dewayne Herring, Roger Barber
Honorary pallbearers were Ethan Magee, Devin Magee.
Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton was in charge of the arrangements.
