Samantha Freeman Barnum, 33, of Tylertown, died Oct. 20, 2025. She was born June 28, 1992, in McComb, to Troy and Juanita Freeman.
Visitation was Oct. 24, 2025, at Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church, and Oct. 25, 2025, with burial in Wood Cemetery in Tylertown. Bro. Jacob Gros and Pastor Jacob Phillips officiated. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Samantha enjoyed making stain glass art, fishing, and hunting. Her greatest blessing was spending time with her husband, Preston; K-9 children, Huk, Sadie, and Delta; her nephews, Raiden and Caspian; family and church family. During Christmas, which was her favorite time of year, she was sure to have the best wrapped gift with the largest glitter bows. Her sweet memory will be cherished by all.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Freeman; grandmother, Nadine Freeman; great grandmother Lessie Jo Smith; and cousin, Logan Shaughnessy.
Survivors include her husband, Preston Barnum; parents Troy Freeman and Juanita Smith Freeman; sisters, Alexandria “Allie” Williams (Tanner) and Emily Freeman; grandfather, Joel Smith; grandmother, Barbara Wood Smith; nephews, Raiden Williams and Caspian Williams; father-in-law, Scott Barnum; mother-in-law, Angel Barnum; sisters -in-law, Rainie Rawls (Trey) and Averie Barnum; grandfather-in-law, Glenn Hartzog; grandmother-in-law Kathy Hartzog.
Pallbearers were Logan Conerly, John Kennedy, Seth Kennedy, James Michael Schmidt, Brandon Smith, and Tanner Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Joel Smith, Scott Barnum, Clay Smith, Justin Smith, Glenn Hartzog, Raiden Williams, and Caspian Williams.
