Marilyn Dillon Andrews, 80, of Tylertown, died Dec. 12, 2025, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born April 5, 1945, in Tylertown, to John Warren, Sr. and Lenora Montgomery Dillon. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Joe Speedy Andrews and brother John “Jay” Warren Dillon, Jr.
Visitation was held Dec. 15, 2025, at Salem Baptist Church, Tylertown, and Dec. 16, 2025, with Bro. Mark Wicker officiating. Burial was in Elliott Cemetery. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Marilyn was a longtime member of Salem Baptist Church where she enjoyed spending time with her Sunday School class. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her flowers and chickens. But her favorite was her stray cat Ms. Kitty.
Survivors include her son, Darren Andrews (Deborah); daughters, Rhonda Knight (Tyrone) and Stephanie Gilmore of Tylertown; grandchildren, Shelly Andrews, Mallory Watts, Cole Andrews, Morgan Hill (Kevin), Michaela Andrews, Marissa Knight, Camden Gilmore, Chandler Gilmore, Dakota Andrews, Madiann Andrews and BJ Holmes (Sarah); great grandchildren, Dawsen Holmes, Briania Holmes, Jay Holmes, Hadley Watts, Avery Guillory, Beau Hill, Keegan Gilmore, Cohen Andrews and Gracie Hill; brother-in-law, Loyd Edwin Andrews; sister-in-law, Brenda Gaye Dillon.
Pallbearers were Cole Andrews, Camden Gilmore, Chandler Gilmore, Kevin Hill, BJ Holmes, and Nathan Wicker. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Smith and her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Special music was performed by Sherry Boyd, Billy Wayne Thornhill, and pianist Lisa Wicker.
