Rachael Diane Brumfield, 75, of Tylertown, died Dec. 7, 2025. She was born Aug. 5, 1950, in Tylertown, to Woodfin Smith and Florence Knippers Smith. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her grandchild, Shelby Brumfield; father-in-law, Selwyn Brumfield, Sr.; and mother-in-law, Melodee Brumfield.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Selwyn “Buddy” Alex Brumfield, Jr; son, Alex Brumfield (Shelley); grandchildren, Charlee Brumfield, Dylan Brumfield, and Kelbi Brumfield; brother, Greg Smith (Sharon).
Brumfield was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Lexie Baptist Church. Rachael enjoyed all plants and flowers, humming birds, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation was Dec. 9, 2025, at Lexie Baptist Church, burial followed in Tylertown Cemetery. Bro. Randall Griffin officiated. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Mac Conerly, Jeff Terrell, Jason Bullock, Tony Bullock, Connor Van Dan, and Tonie Polk.
