James John Seman, 83, died Jan. 3, 2026, at Oschner Hospital. He was born Dec. 21, 1942, in Decauter, Ill., to the late James Guthrie and Rowena Seman. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Faye Seman and daughter Rebecca Nichelle McGregor. A friendly gathering was held Jan. 8, 2026, at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, Tylertown.
Mr. James was a member of the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He enjoyed working on cars, going to church, playing poker, shooting guns, hunting, and most of all hanging out with family and friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Lea Ann Stovall; brother, Steve Seman; sister, Agnes Compton; grandchildren, Zachary McGregor, Paige McGregor, Garrick McGregor and Dillon Stovall.
