Bro. Burnett Ball, Jr., 64, of Jayess, died Feb. 21, 2026, at his residence. He was born March 28, 1961, in Columbia, MS, to the late Dixie Ball and Burnett Ball Sr., and later in life, a bonus mother, Mildred Ball.
He was better known by “Jr.” by all of his loved ones. He received his formal education in Marion County, and was a member on the basketball team.
“Jr.” was a member of West Holy Hill Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Eld. Terry C. Bridges. He was employed by TL Wallace, where he held several positions in the heavy machinery and construction industry for over 30 years. He then ventured on to Sanderson  Farms where he was a forklift operator for the last five years.
He was married to Sharon Denise Ball for over 20 years, to this union two daughters were born, Destiny Ball and Dy’Mond Ball.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Ball; bonus mom, Mildred Ball; daughters, Destiny Ball, Dy’Mond Ball, Adrianna Ball; son, Devon Ball; mother-in-law, Vertie Harness; son-in-love, Carlos Porter; sisters, Beverly Virgil and Shannon Keys; brothers, John Bennet Poole, Andre Anderson (Hideyo), Adrian Anderson (Angela) and Ephraim Anderson; grandchildren, Cairo Porter and Kalani Jones.
Services were Feb. 27, 2026, at West Holy Hill COGIC in Jayess, with Eld. Terry Bridges officiating. Burial was in West Holy Hill Church Cemetery.
