John W. “Dub” Stafford, 90, a resident of McComb, died June 22, 2026, at Walthall General Hospital.
He was born on Oct. 22, 1935, to the late Earl B. Stafford and Dixie Stafford.
The memorial service will be announced at a later date. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb will be in charge of arrangements.
Dub was a very active man and a hard worker. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was a Christian man. Dub was an active member of New Beginnings of Thomas, LA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jay Stafford; one sister, Mary Bankston; grandson, Steven Stafford; one daughter, Barbara Martin; and one great-granddaughter, Madison Nicholson.
He is survived by his wife of 56 happy years, Joyce Keating Stafford; three daughters, Judy Crain, Cathie Duhon (Wilbert), and Teresa Richardson (Stanley); one son, John E. Stafford (Michelle); two brothers Loyd E. Stafford (Nancy) and Tim Stafford; one sister, Linda Hartzog (Ronnie); six grandchildren, Michelle (Gary), Cynthia (Wade), Krystal, Jonathan, Jason (Natalia), Amy (Justin), Kammie, Rebecca and a host of great-grandchildren; special friends, Bobby and Vickie Ginn and Bro. Keith Branch.
