Legion says no July 4th parade this Saturday

The July 4 parade being organized by American Legion Post 56 will not be held, according to Legion officials. Commander John Smith said the group plans to get an early start on planning the event next year.
“We hope next year we’ll be able to plan further in advance and create more interest in making a parade a July 4th celebration,” Smith said. “Stay in touch and we’ll plan the event for next year.”
