Farmers Market opens May 5; social distancing rules in place
Tylertown’s Farmers Market is opening Tuesday, May 5, at 7 a.m., at the Agri-Heritage Center.
Market manager, Carolyn Horn, says she expects the market’s regular vendors back this year and notes some new vendors have made inquiries about the market.
While restrictions surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic change almost daily while state officials are keeping an eye on the possibility of a resurgence in cases and opening the economy after a two month shutdown, Horn says the market rules require the following:
*All vendors must wear masks and gloves.
•All customers must practice social distancing.
•If customers have masks and gloves they are requested to use them.
•Only vendors can touch their produce and products and only while wearing gloves.
•No standing, sitting or socializing in groups.
•When utilizing the Farmers Market, make your purchases and move on in order to make room for the next customer.
