Jimmy Clyde “JC” Carson, 77, of McComb, died Dec. 18, 2020, at his residence in McComb.
Born Feb, 11, 1943, in Walthall County, he was the son of the late Willie Carson and Zellie Smith Carson. He joined Antioch MBC at an early age and attended school at JJ Gulledge in Tylertown.
He met and married Bobby Ann Williams Carson July 22, 1967, and to this union four children were born. He and his brother started their own business as pulpwood haulers.
His favorite hobbies included fishing, hunting and watching a good wrestling match with his sons. He also had an appreciation for fine classic cars ad put his auto-mechanic skills to use whenever he got the chance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Zellie Carson; son, Lorenzo Carson; two granddaughters, AaLiyah Carson and Jesslyn Carson; four brother, Willie, Otis, John and Charles; two sisters, Altie and Ovie.
Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Bobby Ann Carson; seven sons, Greg Carson, Jimmy Carson, Kardale Carson, all of McComb, John Earl Carson, Antonio Carson, both of Fort Worth, TX, Terrance Carson of Menifee, CA, and Derrick (Fanisha) of Jacksonville, FL; 19 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Weneva Carson of New Orleans; one brother-in-law; seven sisters-in-law.
A graveside service was Dec. 30, 2020, at Shady Grove MBC Cemetery in Osyka, with Eld. Julius Williams rendering the eulogy and officiating.
Washington Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
