Karen Carruth Hobgood, 74, of Tylertown, died April 22, 2026, at her residence. She was born June 23, 1951, to the late Reginald and Geraldine Carruth. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years Royce H. Hobgood.
Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Blade (Mandy) Hobgood and Ron (Kristen) Hobgood; grandchildren, Bodhi Hobgood, Haddox Hobgood, Hudson Hobgood, and Rowan Hobgood; sister, Gerry (Dennis) Mack.
Karen was a loving wife and mother who loved the beautiful sights of nature. She loved working with her husband Royce Hobgood on their farm and raising cattle that often became pets. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and would do everything she could to help anyone. She often was the loudest one in the room but nobody would mind because she could make the room laugh. She loved spending time with her dog Odell also.
Pallbearers were Mack Hobgood, Simpson Hobgood, Greg Duncan, Dennis Mack, David Wren, and Vally Dupre.
Visitation was at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, Tylertown, April 25, 2026, with Bro. David Millican officiating. Burial was in Hobgood Family Cemetery.
