Zebedee Sartin, 66, of Duson, LA., native of Tylertown, died Jan. 18, 2022. He was born April 30, 1955, in Tylertown to the late Henry Sartin and Ardessa Carr. He lived in Tylertown as a child until the family moved to New Orleans where he remained until being transferred by his job to Lafayette. He married Janice Jackson and they had a son and daughter.
His passion was vehicles and projects. He like to buy, fix and resell them. He started his own repossessing company, Rudy’s Recovery. Once he retired from this business, he started Impression Motorsports where he once again fixed and sold vehicles.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four sisters, Forestean “Mollie” Magee, Carolyn Bridges, Jessie Lee Conerly, and Myra Price; four brothers, Dan Magee Jr., Ned Magee, Elbert Carr, and Henry Sartin Jr.
Survivors are his wife, Janice; his daughter and son, Tiffany Sartin Rideaux and Zeb “Rudy” O’Neal Sartin; four grandsons: Kalin Lamar Rideaux, Kendall “KJ” Lamar Rideaux, Triston Cole Sartin, and Zaiden O’Neal Sartin; one brother, Randy Sartin, six sisters: Sandra Carr, Gertrude Bridges, Dorothy Jean Sartin, Rosetta Thompson, Barbara Kelly, and Glenda Smith; one God daughter: Aquaria McCray.
Services were Jan. 29, 2022, at Holy Temple Ministries, interment in Tylertown Cemetery, Min. Richard Bridges officiating.
